Back in the early 90s, visiting a music store and buying every single Michael Jackson album I can find was the first thing I did when I traveled outside the country. And, on my way back home, when crossing the borders or going through airport’s customs, I made sure I hide all MJ albums very well. Otherwise, they get confiscated by custom officers. MJ albums were not allowed to enter the country and I had to smuggle all cassettes back then. This album, Dangerous, used to be literally dangerous.

The album’s cover was done by the amazing Mark Ryden, and recreating it makes me appreciate this art piece even more.

By the way, today is Dangerous’s 23rd birthday 🙂
